How Coaching Works
What is coaching?
Coaching is about you - the coachee/client.
It’s a method of helping you to reach your goals and aspirations, through a supportive process of questions, so that you arrive quicker than you might on your own.
There are no right or wrong answers.
Coaching is a productive effective way to move things forward - to be forward thinking.
It’s also about you taking responsibility for the agreed actions.
How will we work on your Goals?
We are going to talk about your goals and aspirations, what you would like to aim for in the long, medium and short term.
I will be asking you to write your goals down, make notes during the session and to write down any agreed actions.
High achieving people tend to be goal orientated people, and I want to help you be that achiever.
How do I work?
I coach with a structured-but-flexible approach: each programme starts with a clarity session to define your goals, followed by focused sessions on specific areas and strategies.
Sessions are collaborative, not lecture-style. I'll ask questions, challenge assumptions, and offer frameworks - but you set the direction.
Confidentiality is a given. Nothing discussed leaves the (virtual) room.
How can we best work together?
Be candid - the more honestly you share what's really going on, the more useful I can be.
Treat sessions as a checkpoint, not the only place work happens; the real progress is in the actions between sessions.
Tell me early if something isn't landing - a tool, a pace, a focus area - so we can adjust.
Feel free to email or message me between sessions with quick questions; I'll do my best to respond within one business day.
